Last updated: May 26, 2026. This is a plain-language privacy policy. We mean it literally — we collect very little, and what we do collect, we explain here.
1. Who runs this site
games.passed.jp is operated by Amazing engine Co., Ltd. (株式会社 Amazing engine), a Japanese corporation. We are the data controller for any personal information collected through this site.
For questions about this privacy policy, see the contact page.
2. What we collect
Short version: we don't have user accounts, you don't sign in, and we don't ask for your email. So the vast majority of the personal data internet companies usually collect — we simply don't have.
What is collected automatically when you visit:
- Server access logs — IP address, user agent (browser type), timestamp, page URL, HTTP referrer. Retained for up to 90 days for security/abuse monitoring
- Cookies — see Section 3
- Analytics data via Google Analytics 4 (anonymized IP) — see Section 4
- Ad personalization data via Google AdSense — see Section 5
What we do not collect:
- No email, name, address, phone, or any identifier you would type in a form (because there are no forms beyond an optional feedback page)
- No microphone, camera, location, contacts, or device sensor access
- No payment information (the site is free; there is no checkout)
- No fingerprinting beyond standard browser headers
3. Cookies
This site uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary — none beyond your browser's defaults
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — measure aggregate visitor counts and which games are popular
- Advertising (Google AdSense) — show relevant (or non-personalized) ads
You can disable cookies entirely in your browser settings. The games themselves do not require cookies to function. Game progress and high scores are stored only in your browser (localStorage) and never sent to our server.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) to understand which games visitors play and how long they stay. IP addresses are anonymized (anonymize_ip: true) before being processed. Google may use the data per its own privacy terms.
To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. Google AdSense (advertising)
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its ad partners may use cookies to show ads based on:
- Your prior visits to this site and other sites
- General location (country, region) inferred from IP
- Device type and browser information
Google's use of advertising cookies enables them and their partners to serve ads based on user visits across the web. You can opt out of personalized advertising at https://www.google.com/settings/ads, or opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
Even if you opt out, you will still see ads — they will just be non-personalized.
For details on Google's privacy practices, see Google's advertising privacy & terms.
6. Third-party services
Beyond Google's analytics/advertising services listed above, the site uses:
- Cloudflare — content delivery, DDoS protection, DNS. May process IP addresses for security purposes
- matter.js (delivered via Cloudflare CDN) — physics engine used by one game (FALLING MERGE). Loaded as JavaScript only; collects no data
No social media tracking pixels (Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok) are loaded on this site.
7. Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
The games themselves contain no chat, no user-generated content, and no mechanism for one user to contact another, which we believe minimizes risk to younger players.
8. International users (GDPR)
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws similar to the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right to access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion
- Right to object — to processing for direct marketing
- Right to restriction — limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured format
- Right to withdraw consent — at any time, for any consent-based processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page. We respond within 30 days.
The legal basis for our processing is legitimate interest (analytics, security) and consent (advertising cookies, where required by your jurisdiction).
9. Japanese users (個人情報保護法)
10. Data retention
- Server access logs: up to 90 days
- Google Analytics: per Google's default retention (up to 14 months for event data)
- Google AdSense: per Google's retention policies
- localStorage data (in your browser): persists until you clear browser data; never reaches our server
11. Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. The static site has no server-side database — there is no central data store to compromise. Most of our security posture comes from not collecting data in the first place.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as we add new features or services. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the home page for at least 30 days before taking effect.
13. Contact
For any privacy-related question, see the contact page. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
This privacy policy is written in plain English and Japanese where applicable. If anything is unclear, please tell us — we will rewrite the relevant section.
